Using Crystal 8

I have a crystal report in the form of a weekly timesheet.

The format as follows

PH - Contains the Company name, Timesheet Users name and week ending date.

GH1 - Week Ending Date
GH2 - Personnel Code
GH3 - Workstage

GF3 - Contains the Workstage field and the quantity of hours.

The report shows the corrcet number of hours against each workstage but it also needs a summary field for quantity on each person. I tried adding a summary within GF2 but the summary values are wrong.

Can anyone advise if my group structure is incorrcet or point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Are you able to provide sample data and also the figures from the reports so that it is clearer why they are wrong ?

Why does GF3 show detail fields instead of summaries? What is in your details section? Is person the same as personnel code?

Person is the same as personnel code

Using the groups outlined above I get the following sample data.

Joe Bloggs w/e 07/04/07

Workstage Hours

1234 33.5

4321 1

What I want to add is the summary of 33.5 + 1

I have tried putting the quantity value in the details area and placing the summarys in the GF but the quanity values then raise to the hundreds.

Thanks

Probably you have a lot of detail lines, and only want the figures for a few of them. This can be done using Running Totals, where you can choose when you evaluate and when you clear.

If you're not already familiar with Running Totals, the basics are explained at FAQ767-6524.
