Summary a formula field

I have a simple report that contains a formula field but I can't insert summary to report footer.
The detail in the report is as following,
pol# ,effective date,expired date, earned fee
I had added two formula field to evaluate fee earned in detail
@term is {expired date}-{effective date}
@earnedfee is if {@term}=0 then 0 else ({fee}/{@term})*({processdate}-{effectivedate})

I try to insert summary of @earned fee in report footer but I don't see that option. I am a beginner for this, would your experts help me with detail instructions.

You should be able to right click on this formula in the detail section->insert summary and choose the grand total level.
