suming 11 dates in sql

i have
2001/11/30
2001/09/30
2001/08/31
2001/07/31
2001/06/30
2001/05/01
2001/03/29
2001/01/24
2000/12/12
2000/06/30
1999/09/24

and the sum should be 2004/04/13

when i just try to add and the dates i get 3013/04/04

What do i use to add these up

i get the total in excel by using the sum function on a date

any help would be appreciated

How in the world is that sum made? I mean how does any program arrive at the answer you're looking for and why would you want to do that? JHall

How did you get the 2004/04/13?

When I use sum in excel I get 3013/04/04.
