Sum in block not working 1

I'm currently having a big nightmare with a large report. I've inserted a break into the report and tried to add a subtotal for each break - I've tried adding and removing the footer, turning sum on and off in the slice and dice panel and even creating a new variable - sum(<Field>) in block but the only sum figure i'm getting continues to be the overal total of all the breaks.. AAAAAARRRRRRRRGGHHHHH

Just a quick thought..
How about using : Sum(<field>) in <variable>
where the variable is the object you set the break on...
These kinds of contexts should usually not be needed, but try it anyway... T. Blom

Let me guess. You're report has multiple data providers. You have not linked all of the dimensions.

Try multicube(sum(<your measure>)) or sum(multicube(<your measure>)).

It looks like the solution to this is to change the subtotal formulas from sum(<your measure>) to multicube(<your measure>) Steve Krandel
