Hi all,

I am wondering if somebody can explain something for me.
We have recently had our 81c, 25.40 upgraded to succession 3.0. I then had to rebuild my 3904 ACD set only to have the system tell me 'SCH3938 - TN types for voice and data ports of a Digital set do not match' Now i cant build the set with the original TN (20 0 1 6) using the NEW command. If i copy it from another 3904 ACD set, and try to use my original problem TN (20 0 1 6) i get 'SCH3140 - Set-type of the new TN does not match with the set-type of the corresponding voice/data TN' I stat the card and there are only 2616's programmed on this card (and the 2250 attendant consoles) but no 3904's. If i try and build a new 2616 on the original TN (20 0 1 6) it goes through fine no errors. Just when i try and build a 3904 does it have a cow!! I have noticed that there are also sets built up on the data TNs (16-31)Now i am sure my set was built on that TN (20 0 1 6) But now its dead!! Is this because of the succession upgrade, or has some programming been changed that i am unaware of?

Thanks for any help

might be a patch issue, but if i have a 2616 on the data side of my tn, the coice side of my tn must be a 2616.. rebuild the data side as a 3900 and it should clear your problem.. never copy an acd set, you'll see more trouble then you can dream of. also don't copy the 1st set on a card, best to at least default a set on the card before you try the moc or coy command to that set

Thank you very much!! I wasnt aware that the voice and data TNs should be matching. I can now build my set. But is there any reason why this happened in the first place? I mean, my set was definitely on that TN previously, and only after i tried to rebuild it did it give me this problem? Again, thanks again John, and everyone else who has been thinking about this problem for me

might be just a upgrade issue, and in older rls you could build the voice 1st then add the digital port as a non matching phone, but if you build the digital 1st, it had to match.. i've also seen non-matching sets go away on an upgrade
