Hello all!
I am using Crystal 9 with and odbc connection to my database...
In this report I have added two subreports that share variables that are manually calculated in the main report. These subreports are situated in GH #4, the innermost group...unfortunately the variables need to be initiated in GH #3 so I really can't move them...the good thing is that I don't display anything through these sub reports...the font is white both in the sub report and the display of the sub report in the main report...
The problem is that at this level a space (containing the whited-out subreport) shows for each "row" in which there was data...I have tried using "Underlay Following Section" but this did not work...I cannot "Suppress" the sub reports or my calculations don't work...I have tried "Suppressing Blank Section" in the Section Expert but this did not help...
Any other suggestions for getting rid of the extra white space?
Thanks!

You can't suppress the subreports as an object or the sections that they are in, but you CAN suppress every section within the subreport, resize it to make it very narrow, and then use underlay following section on the previous section. You can also format the subreport object to suppress if blank (format->subreport->subreport->"suppress blank subreport".
