I have created a report which contains subreports. The subreport is taking the max entry.(the highest) Only one record, but it is big enough for all the records of the query(duplicates are surpressed).
Example!
Database Field Database Field Subreport Field
Database Field Database Field Subreport Field

Database Field Database Field Subreport Field

Database Field Database Field Subreport Field

Notice the big gaps between some of the lines. This is due to the subrepord. Does anyone know how reduce the size to keep it consistant. There will onle ever be one record.

Thank You

Have you tried suppressing the unnecessary (header, footer, etc) section from format section tab on your Subreport ?

Yes I took all of that out. It is big enough for the full query.
Example. If the query would bring back 7 records and I select the max and surpress dups it still has space for 7 records although only 1 is shown.

Thanks

Is this what you've done or trying to do:

Group Header (suppress)

Detail (suppres): your_field

Group Footer: Insert_a_running_total

No I just use the returned value from the subreport, which I put right beside my other fields. No running totals.

Example.
Course Name Number of attempts Highest score
DatabaseField DatabaseField SubreportField

Comp Science 6 78
if there were 4
scores then there
would be room for4 spaces
Health 3 90 only score 1 space
physics 5 85
if there were 10 scores
even though I take the highest and surpress dups I get 10 spaces and so on
