My ISP has started subnetting their network and it has caused me to lose connectivity to my server on my lan due to non-DNS registration. I need to create a subnetwork in QoS to solve the problem but I can't seem to get the numbers right.

It wants the IP address of the subnet(255.255.252.0), and the "unmasked bits at the front" entered the format 255.255.252.0/xx.

What should xx be? I can't seem to figure it out. Turns out that the "unmasked bits at the front" are the Unique network ID. Coming from a NT background this is all new to me. Any ideas?

11111111.11111111.11111100.00000000
255 255 252 0
255.255.252.0/22
leaves 10 bits for subnetting

Thanks for responding, but W2K doesn't like that answer! I thought that's what it should be to, but it errors saying, "Invalid name: Subnet names must take the form where MM is the number of unmasked bits at the front. The masked bits at the end must all be clear. Example: 255.14.252.0/22."

Microsofts KB has nothing relevant on the issue either :/.
