Subforms will not grow or shrink

Running Access2000 and W2K. Have multiple subforms on a main form. Can Grow, Can Shrink properties set to Yes on Detail (main form), all subform objects on main form and Detail (subforms). Subforms are continuous forms, main form is single form.

Found in help that overlapping controls cannot grow or shrink. Arranged all subforms to have their own space. Unfortunately, subforms do not grow to show all the data. If I view the subform alone, works fine. But once I try to view them in the main form, I only see data within the frame of the subform.

I do not want scroll bars on the subforms as I have them transparent so that they appear to apart of the main form.

Hi,

Subforms are confined by the main forms that contain them. If you simply want to show a relationship, you could try creating a simple command button on the main form that opens the subform. The button can perform the relationship between the two forms based upon a common field that you choose.

The command button is available through the design view of the form. The wizard will guide you through the steps. You said that the subform opened by itself looks fine. Is there a reason that you can not simply enlarge the main form to accommodate the needed space?

Showing a relationship is not my goal.

To simplify my question: I have 3 subforms. Each of them is a continuous form. Each of them have anywhere from 2 to 100 records on them. When I view each of them individually, I see 10 records on the first one, 50 on the second and 25 on third.

I add them to the main form and make the subform object Can Grow, Can Shrink. When I open the main form, I only see 5 records for each subform. The Grow and shrink properties should make the subforms conform to the number of records but they do not work.
