Hi,

I have a subform which currently displays the records within a table related to the master record being looked at on the form. This is working fine, but I only want the table to show me the records that meet a certain criteria. I had got the subform displaying the results of a query, which works fine, except that it doesn't allow me to enter new records on the table as its a query and not a table.

I've got it back as a table now so that I can enter stuff directly in, but this does mean that i can see ALL records pertaining to the master record.

Any ideas?

Dave.

You may consider the Filter and FilterOn properties of the Form object.

Hope This Helps, PH.

Hi PH

Thanks for your comment - I had seen those properties of the form object, and had tried to get them to work, but I can't seem to find any documentation on how to use these objects on the form. If you know how to do it could you tell me what I would type within the filter property to make it filter on the YEAR field for values of 2005 only?

Thanks,
Dave.

No F1 key on your keyboard ?
The basic idea is that the Filter property is a WHERE clause (without the WHERE keyword) for the underlaying SQL.

Hope This Helps, PH.
