I'm to duplicate an existing form which contains subforms that users can peruse via the corporate intranet.

Can a form be converted? Can a data access page be created that includes subforms?

Yes and Yes.

What features you get depends on what version of Access you have. So before you do anything else, insist you get upgraded to Access 2003.

While we are using Office XP we just converted from Access 97 to Access 2000. Access 2003 may happen next year.

So am I correct that I can't do this under 2000?

If I take this Access 2000 database, open it in 2002 and create a page from the form. Can I use this data access page against the original unconverted 2000 database?

I don't see why not. The sophistication is all in the page scripting and the MSODSC control. The page only accesses the Jet database in the mdb. I've got a feeling Jet is relatively unchanged between Access 2000 and 2002.
