Subform data disappears when printed

I have a form containing a number of subforms. One of these subforms contains unbounded text boxes which I set by a calculation that is performed by the main form on current event.
The form displays perfectly well on screen and even in print preview mode, but when I print it the text boxes are shown blank. I assume that the printing event refreshes the form data but does not re-run the on current event, hence the blank boxes.

Any ideas how to solve this?

there is a option in ms access (i dont remeber exactly how it works i dont have ms access on this computer) i think its calles print data or something like this make sure its set to yes

I'm a bit confused by your response IGPCS! I assume that you are mistaken about a property that needs to be set to yes.

Forms are not designed for printing. Try creating a Report.

Anything CAN be printed.
I stated that forms are not DESIGNED for printing.
That's what REPORTS are generally for.

Hi guys,
Sorry to interrupt your argument. I take the point about reports being designed for printing, but I've done loads of applications where I've never had a problem printing them. I think that the main difference with this application is that the subform in question is totally unbounded. I am using it just to give a summary of the data presented.
It's just so frustrating when the thing previews perfectly well on my screen and then shows blank when I print. I thought microsoft worked on the WYSIWYG principle!
Maybe I'll take your advice, IGPCS, and try and convert it to a report, but that will be a pain in the a***, especially as I'm so close to finishing it.
If anyone's got any more ideas then please let me know.

Thanks
