Sub-report multiple parameter question :)

Hi!

I have a report which lists (amongst other things) a few codes. I want those codes to be sent to my subreport when called... I have set the field to be sent (unlinked) and then edited the parameter on the subreport to allow multiple values.

However, the subreport only ever shows the first code in the list, not all of them!

I'm sure this can't be complicated, but whatever it is, it's beyond me!

Hi

The list code should be the same as in the main report and the sub report. You should allow multiple values to be past.

When you click on the main report parameter it will list the values. when you select the code value it will pass the value to the sub report you pick.
Make sure you link your main and sub report on the same parameters

Like {?Main_Parm} = {?Sub_Parm}

I don't know if I was very clear in my earlier post... an example of my problem:


I have a report which prompts for a Stock code (this is the only parameter I use), it then displays all the components that make up that code. - Crystal calls anything in the subreport that has come from the main report; a parameter.

EG.

|Stock code - Dave |
|Components - R Arm, L Arm, Head, L Leg, R Leg... etc |
|----------------------------------------------------------|

Next I send the comoponents to a sub report, but link it to nothing, I also tell the param in the sub report to accept multiple params.
The subreport at the moment is only designed to show the param(s) sent to it. However, when I preview the subreport it only displays the first item.

EG.
|----------------------------------------------------------|
|Components - R Arm |
|----------------------------------------------------------|

It does the same even if I put the identical field from the db on the subreport and link it to the param(s) sent from the main report.

Any less confusing?!
