I have had to create a join between to tables that includes a sub query on one of the fields within one of the tables. When I have done this the autodetect of context's within the universe stops working, to the extent that if I delete all current context's and auto detect designer suggests NO NEW CONTEXT'S REQUIRED. If I remove the join, all aspects work as normal.....

Any suggestions ???

Your question doesn't quite provide enough information for me to see the exact reason WHY you need the subquery. If you submit this info I'd be happy to look at it. In the meantime, is there any way around needing the subquery on the join? We've often avoided it by using alias tables, and also self joins on tables eg mytable.mycolumn=2. Be sure of course to include any such joins in your context.
