Hi All,
When I add a sub form to a form, I get this error on the bottom line of the subform. If I keep trying and trying I eventually can get the sub form added to the master form with out that darn error on the bottom line. But I don't have a clue why.
Any ideas?

Thanks
Don

I think I figured it out.
I have 2 tables:
tbl_1 = 2 fields: Parent and Phone.
tbl_2 = 2 fields: parent and Components

I have 2 forms:
tbl_1 = frm_1
tbl_2 = frmSub_2

When I try to add frmSub_2 as a subform to frm_1, I get #ERROR that is displayed in the parent field on the bottom line of the subform.

I think what the problem is, is that Access will not permit me to use the word "parent" as a name of the the linking fields when a subform is used.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Don

Parent is a property of almost all the objects (like name).
Try to avoid such reserved names for your own objects.

Hope This Helps, PH.
