sub form date

on my main form and have sub form, in my sub form i have two fields, one is ID which is a primiry key to link between two forms, and second field is date.
what i want to do is, i wanna capture a date. when ever someone is going to enter data on main form,when he is going to fill the date field then i want that date to show in the sub form date field as well. is there anyway i can do that.

Just link the two fields together via the After_Update event:

Forms!frmMain!frmSub!txtDate = Me.Parent.txtDate
