I've created a Master Document with one sub document link at the bottom of it.

Is there any way of merging this sub document, so that when the user goes to save as the sub document will stay in the master document without the link to the sub document?

My users wish to email this master document to clients so the master document and the sub document need to be shown, not just the master document with a link to the sub doc

Sorry this is using a Word document

Hi slickp,

Word's Master Document feature is buggy, and the general consensus seems to be that there are only two types:
. those that have become corrupt
. those that are destined to become corrupt

You can achieve almost the same results by linking to and embedding source documents in a target document via INCLUDETEXT fields, which are much more reliable.

When you've finalised your target document, you can permanently embed the current source document in the target document by selcting the embedded part and pressing Ctrl-Shift-F9.

Cheers
