I have two jobs.
An Investment Report which splits out into 20 factsheets
using the same data.
Both jobs use the same style sheets - but have different attributes.
When I cut and past from the Investment Report into the factsheets - the style sheets stays the same but attributes from the original job come over. The style sheet name is the same. I have to go through every paragraph turning off the attributes - so that the new style occurs.
a) Is it possible to turn off all attributes on all styles at once.
b) Is there a way round this. It's just a bit frustrating.

Hi,
Just so I'm clear on your problem... do you mean that both files have a style called, say, heading1, but in file one it might be defined as 14pt Arial Bold, while in the other it might be 12pt Garamond Bold? Also, are you talking about Charactor or Paragraph style sheets, or both?

My initial reaction would be to make a copy of the first file, change the attributes there and then copy & paste. You could also Append Styles from the second file into this duplicate file and replace existing styles with the new ones. I could be misinterpreting your problem though, so please let me know!

By what i understand from your problem is that you have two Style Sheets of the same name in both the documents with different attributes.
Well a simple way to overcome this problem is to use Append in the file menu.
You can import the original Style Sheet from the First document using File > Append and change the attributes of that Style Sheet after it has been imported into your second document. This way you don't have to change the attributes paragraph by paragraph. Make sure that you use a Paragraph Style Sheet.

Hope this helps.
