Hi- can anyone help me out with this really stupid question? I was using BO and somehow i managed to make the Conditions window in the Query Panel disappear- how can I get it back?

I think this is an access rights issue. If you have admin rights, in the CMC, click on BusinessObjects Enterprise Applications and then on Web Intelligence. Select the appropriate user group and click on the word "Advanced". I think the setting you're looking for is "Interactive: Reporting - Create and edit report filter".
