Happy Monday All!!!

I need to split a name in a single cell into multiple cells...for instance

A1 contains Smith,John A.

I need A2 to contain only Smith, A3 to contain only John and A4 to contain only A.

I know how to do this in Access, but how do I do this in EXCEL?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Have a look in the help files for:
LEFT, RIGHT, LEN, FIND
should be able to do all you require with those 4 functions

Highlight Column A

Go to Data > Text To Columns

Choose Delimited

Press next

Check the boxes beside Space and Comma

Press Finished

This will actually replace the original column. If you need to keep the original, start by copying Column A into column B, highlight column B and proceed as described above.
