Streaming Video Clips in Media Player 9 1

I am trying to view a video clip from a web page but when I click on the thumbnail, Windows Media Player loads up and I get this error:

"Windows Media Player cannot play this file. Connect to the Internet or insert the removable media on which the file is located, and then try to play the file again."

However, doing the same procedure on other computers (Win 2000 and Win XP) works fine.

I got Win 98SE and Explorer 6.
