I am having a problem streaming large PDF's to users through IIS. For some users their internet explorer browser freezes and they cannot do anything at all but kill the IE and AcroRd32.exe processes. Other users will slow down at the time when that one user freezes but they will still have their connection to the server. Are there any special settings in IIS that one can set to optimize IIS for streaming large files?

I have run snmp monitors on my switches and servers and the server and switches are not being overloaded. Has anyone else had experience with streaming large files over IIS without using Windows Media Services?

Large PDFs suck!!! They can kill a browser faster than just about anything. See if you can shrink the PDF down or convert it to HTML.
