Hello,
I am new in using windows 2000 server/active directory and i must do the following things: I have a domain that contains several windows 2000/ NT machines and i have several users. Any user must be able to connect several machines with the same login but not all machines of the domain. I have created a group (domain local) to put my users and i would like to know if it is possible to specify in a strategy to which machines of the domain the users of the group that strategy applies to have access rights (all the users of the group must have access to the same machines).
The second problem is: other software than windows 2000 is installed on my server. (unicenter TNG). The users of the group that i have created must be allowed to connect to the windows 2000 server machine but they must not have access to all the unicenter TNG components (only some of them). What i would like is to have the unicenter TNG icons and menu elements hidden when a user should not have access to them. Is it possible to define a strategy for that or am i going the wrong way?
Help please.
Thank you in advance
Véronique
