One of our users PC is able to access the internet for about 15 minutes and the stops, hangs up, or just can't find the proxy anymore. If you ping the proxy server it will time out (no one else is having this problem btw), but if I ping our file server it comes back fine and then when i ping the proxy server again, everything is fine and she can continue to use the internet for about another 15-30 minutes. Anyone know why this is happening and what i can do to resolve it? for a short term fix i made a static entry in the arp table for our proxy server but for the life of me i can't figure out why it's doing this.

Thanks!

Please try enabling Proxy ARP in your router. This will always make sure that the router MAC address will be the forwarding address for your host

well it turns out that the previous netadmin had setup up a printer with a static ip that wasn't in the exclusion range and for some reason this users pc kept requesting that ip and kinf of sort of getting it. i swear my network is haunted. anyways, thanks for the suggestions!
