I have been experiencing a frequent and exasperating problem with IE6. I will try to succinctly outline it.
I am connected to the internet via DSL.
I have configured my IE6 browser to "NEVER DIAL A CONNECTION"
I have done this hundreds of times the past several months.
From time to time, when using the net, I'll click on a link and the "dial a connection" box appears with the option to connect, or work offline. I DON'T NEED THIS! There is already a working connection (other browser windows are working fine). I have a connection!!!
Somehow when I look at the properties of the window after getting rid of that dialogue, the button "never dial a connection" is no longer selected, and the one "dial when network is not present" (paraphrased, it's the 2nd radio button) IS SELECTED.
I HAVE NEVER EVER SELECTED THAT BUTTON. It keeps reverting.
I am going NUTS!
Any ideas?
Thanks so much!
