Strange Icon on the START button

I don't know how but the 'START' button now has an icon on it which appears to change every no and then. They are system or program icons.

I like to think that I keep a clean system with firewalls and anti virus stuff, indeed nbo virus has been found.

Any ideas what, how and why?
