Recently while transfering files fron one computer to a newer one ,useing a USB Bridge cable and linking software , Outlook files ,when moved showed up on the transfer as an MS office icon(square 4 colors interlocked together), and conciquently, these files could not be opened with any program I know of. I have used this same setup many times with no problems. Any clues anyone? Kelly

It would help if you gave us the extension of the file, but I would suspect the newer PC has Office 2003 installed?

no extension? Are you sure your setting "Hide extentions for ..." is OFF?
