Strange Error message

We were experiencing problems with a SQL 6.5 server on Saturday Night of course with an event being written into the SQL error log as below:-

FLUSH_CACHE:TIMEOUT, DATA-IN-MOTION, bp 0x4e6e3c0, pg 0x2629c, stat 0x126c/0x264000, obj 0x2, bpss 0)

To correct the problem I rebooted the server and it has been OK since but does anybody know what caused this problem as it would be good for the future and annoying management will keep quiet if I give them a truthful reason as to why it happened instead of making one up.
