In my Access system, I am storing quite a large amount of GIF and JPG images that are important to be viewed on the system. I have noticed that my file is getting quite big. I was wondering if there is any way of storing them in a separate folder on the hard drive. This would (I hope) reduce the amount of time it takes to open the file - my computer isnt too fast...
I am running windows 98 with Access 2000. Can anyone help?

Thanks

I feel the best way do picture files for viewing is via a hyperlink then it doesn't matter where the picture file is located.

You can keep your graphic files inside the table and at the same time:
1.) Speed up execution by 500%
2.) Get rid of the bloating effect.
You just need to integrate the Graphic Wizard (found on I use it since 6 months and it works great.
