I'm trying to use an SQL query to store a multi-line field containing carriage returns in an Access table. However only the text up to the first the carriage return gets stored. I'm assuming this is because carriage return denotes the end of a record. Is there a way around this? Thanks!

It should not be a problem. What is the datatype and size of your field.

How are you putting carriage returns in your SQL?

Are you completely sure?

What happens if you go to the table, place the cursor within the field (F2), then try downarrow?

Or show the field in a form/report in a text control allowing more than one line?
