Stored Procedure

Hi

I have opened a Business object report through the Universe option. The user will Enter the 'From Date' and 'To Date' using the standard prompts used by the Business Objects. Whenever the user Clicks Run Button I want to involke a stored procedure which will do some complex formaula and summation from some set of tables based on the date range and insert the same into temporary table. This temporary table which has this summary columns will be used to display in the report.

Has somebody tried this option. Is it possible to run a stored procedure when the user clicks the Run Button

Hi ,
You can create a store procedure to accept the date parameter and in out paramter for reference cursor.
The reference cursor will be the temp table which contains the summary information.

when u make report with store procedure taking parameter, BO will automatically prompt for parameter values.
