Hi All!

My friend asked me to help with a database.
His company provides long distance services with oversies contries.
The way it works:
He has his log with client numbers, phones dialed and time of calls.
His partners send him their logs with phone numbers and dat/time of calls.
The problem is: How to ajust the time? Daylight saving changes in different days in US and Europe. And to make it worth - some partners send date according to Greenwich while others use their local time.
I am open to any suggestions on the best way to deal with those dates. Have a great day!:)

Does your friend know which date format each source uses?
Is there a flag for this in the data they send?

When you ask the best way to deal with this I am not sure
what you mean... Do you want all
the dates to eventually have the same 'base' time, meaning all would be wrt Greenwich Mean time, for example...

If so can't he just the dates given by the appropriate amount. Perhaps a table that would have the name of the country and
the number of hours off of GMT and then just use that table to find
how much to adjust the incoming date...

You could even write a function to do that, I suppose
which leads me to wonder if there is not already such a function....

There is no flag for that.
To find out the difference we had to through his log and partners log and compare date/time for ssertain number...

All dated should be adjusted to local time. Name of the country will not help, there are three partners in one country who uses different date/time for same region....

Have a great day!:)
