My client hit the 16G store size so we impltemented the reg fix to give them the extra 1G breathing space and deleted about 3G of mailboxes, we then forced maintenance and waited. I had zeroed out the retention, but when
maintenance ran it looked like it ignored the mailboxes we had deleted and afterwards said it had only freed 1G of space, whenit should have freed more. When I look at the combined size of the priv.edb and priv.stm the are over 16G, whats going on? I have tried to frorce maintenance to run again through manipulating the schedule in ESM but it only ever seems to run a pass on the pub.edb not not the priv. I don't have enough space locally or time to run an offline defrag at this point, my client has been down for over 14hrs already (the store is mounted, but smtp and the MTA are stopped) Also if I do start the services again, do undo the reg entry that gave me the extra 1G? Can the reg entry be put back if need be? I have since dismounted and remounted the store in hopes that this will allow me to force maintenance to run again. Also the MTA and SMTP services are stopped right now.
