My office has Exchange 5.5 server on NT 4.0 SP 6.0.
Everything runs well until this morning when i found that the server runs sooooo slow, even for displaying NT explorer window.

When i checked on Task Manager, i found that almost (99%) of processor resources was consumed by Store.exe.

what is this file, and what is it doing? and can i stop it from running? (Clicking "end process" button in Task Manager window results an "access denied" msg).

The Exchange admin is absen for a few days, i can't contact him :(

thanks for any advance.

Sounds like a memory leak. Store always uses up the memory but should not cause the slowness unless there is a leak.

Get a perfmon with all counters and see what is going on or call us with it. Make sure you have the latest service pack (4) and any post store fixes. Dan
