Hi All,

Need procedures replacing failed tape drive in StorageTek L40 and do I need to update its firmware after replacement? Thanks in advance.

Are you replacing the failed drive with the same type? You should be able to source a replacement with the same firmware as the one you are removing.

@TekAndy: Yes it is of same type. Am not sure if the new drive's firmware is the same as the one being replaced. Thanks
