Storage over a network...

We have several win XP clients at our office, all of whom have 40+GB of space available. Is it possible to use some sort of client software to build a storage network over the clients? And make it redundant? Kind of a google style storage network, running off of basic non-server class PCs? What product would I use (not necessarily Backup Exec)?
