We Inherited a domain name from a company who went into liquidation, and have since been receiving spam intended for one of their ex-employees. We have setup an alias and given it the address of this employee - and this works fine for the legitimate mail they receive.

Unfortunately this user also received a lot of spam mail, where the "from" address is listed as the same as the "to" address, or some random address due to the nature of spam.

Any mail without a legitimate "from" address automatically goes to postmaster, which is normally fine - but is there a way to stop any mail intended for Patt@mycomp.com regardless of who is is (or is not) from?

Thanks for reading.

Inherently, no. But you could assign that address to some hidden DL (with no members) and let the messages go into oblivion...

They do current go into the black hole of email :) - but spam still goes to Postmaster.

I guess we'll just have to delete them as they come in, not a great deal of bother :)
