Our office is currently getting remodeled; it should be complete within one week. All the extensions that have had digital sets programmed on their TNs now do not ring; I need to know how to mass re-enable them, and also how to prevent them from dropping out. I typically use MAT to control the PBX and extensions, so I would appreciate a MAT solution, but I do use the terminal when I need to.
I read in other threads about LD30/LD32, FXLA but I am unsure how to use/apply/enable/disable these.

how do u use MAT, it was discontinued years ago??

i forgot how to use MAT, so this is for the terminal only:

you can enable entire cards in LD 32. find the phones that aren't working, then write down the TN info. if they all have the same Loop number, which is the first 2-digit number, you can stat the card in LD 32. basically, type

stat 12 (option 11) or stat 12 0 6 (in an option 61 or 81)

disc xx (to disable the card)
enlc xx (to enable the card)

then stat again to check the status of the ports on the card. if this doesn't solve your issue, then there's a wiring problem or something else, such as a hardware failure of some sort.

and toss MAT, will ya!! it's very unreliable.......

This is how to remove 30 from Midnights using the TTY, which will stop sets from disabling.

Thanks for the answers everyone. Looks like I will temporarily remove LD 30 from the overnight routine. I do not want to disable and re-enable the cards because there are still working lines on each card.
I use MAT still because our hardware is not compatible with Call Pilot. We are using some very old equipment because every year, we're getting a new system. I've been here 3 years, and I'm still waiting. In the mean time, I'm learning the heck out of what we have, which includes the MAT even though it is obsolete, limited, and doesn't accurately make the changes 25% of the time.

If you can't disable entired cards, you can work on one phone at a time by using the DISU and ENLU commands in LD 32, 11 or 20. the command works in all 3 loads. Example:

disu + TN, press enter
enlu + TN, press enter

to see if the phone is actually plugged in and talkin to the Switch, run the IDU command from LD 11 or 20. Example:

idu + TN, press enter

good luck to you. start reading and learning the NTP's. they can be very cryptic, but once you start to understand them, you'll know where to go when you need help.

thank you for shopping at Tek-tips!!
