Still image duration

Hi, I have a problem. When I import files and drag them into the timeline they are always about 5 seconds long (for still images). I made a effects animation and have about 240 still frames that I want to be about 4 frames per second (a bit jerky, I know) but I want to do this to all 240 images when I drag them into the time line. Instead of having to go through each one to clip it. Anyone know how?

You need to set the default duration for stills in the preferences before you import them into Premiere.

I tried it at first and it didn't work, but then I closed the program and opened it a couple ours later...finally worked...thanks
