Anyone have a suggestion for getting a sticky substance off of a sdram module's connectors?

Have you tried using an eraser? Other than that, you want to avoid using any sort of liquid to get it off...

will give it a shot!

Why avoid all liquids cdog? as long as they aren't water based they should be ok.
Electrical contact cleaner spray is a liquid, and can be obtained from the likes of Radio Shack, or similar!
A solvent such as white spirit or Turps may also work, but apply to a cloth and wipe rather than trying to pour onto the contacts.
Use only a natural fibre cloth (cotton) to avoid static.

paparazi,

I was merely stating the obvious not to try ANY liquid. You're absolutley right that there are safe solvents out there that you can use. Without the proper application techniques and the right substance, it could be a disaster...good point [thumbsup2]

It doesn't hurt to try an eraser first, which is safe for any kind of metallic contact.
