Step by Step guide for backing up IP Office 406 config and restore 3

can anyone please send me a link or guide me for backing up IP Office 406 V2 configuration from one unit and restoring it to another unit.

Actually I want to replace the Old IP Office 406 V2 exchange with 5 channel VCM card with an new IP Office 406 V2 24 channel VCM card by keeping the configurations and send the old exchange to a different office.

ok i would

first open config from unit.

save

connect to new unit

run upgrade wizard to put that unit onto the correct software level.

close manager

open old saved config with manager

file>offline>send config

select the new unit

send in config

watch it reboot

open config from new unit afterwards to check its ok

 
Open the config from the IPO. then go file and save as and save it to somewhere you know where it is. Then close the config. now go to file then offline and open file. browse for your back up and open it. then go to file off line and send config. make sure you new IPO is connected and you have access to it before doing all this.

what is wrong with the old 406

can you not just swap the VCM cards over?

I tired this method and I completed the whole procedure.But after the reboot the phones are stuck on "Please wait" message.

I didnot run the upgrade wizard.May be thats why I am having problem with the phones. Please tell me how you run the upgrade wizard.
I need to send one exchange to a branch office.

I think you may want to a professional involved here. You are doing some stuff that will make that box a big paper weight... you need to do stepped upgrades and do it right. the manager will let you do things that are bad without telling you...

You know what I am wondering about:
why do people start more then one thread with the same problem just phrased differently, is the response not fast enough from people that don't get paid for it?
do you want to see if you get different answers?
I just don't get it

btw to your upgrade thing
call a BP and get them to do it for you, then you have someone that will not screw it up (hopefully) but if they do they can fix it too
