what reference do you have to set to use this?

If you are referring to the PictureBox control, you shouldn't have to add any special references or components. Good Luck

no i was referring to StdPicture Object and the reference is OLE Automation, i figured it out. thanks though :)

Dim oPic as StdPicture

StdPicture is a member of the stdole2.tlb
Add a reference to the "OLE Automation" (Should be done automatically for every new project)
