static in the line

I am getting static on the lines, in all incoming calls. Internal calls and outgoing calls are fine, it is just all incoming calls that I am having problems with. What can it be? where do I start to check???

If you only have one incoming trunk, call the LEC or provider. If you have multiple incoming trunks, do a 'list trace station XXXX' (XXXX would be your DID ext) Then call yourself on a cell phone. Note the trunk the incoming call is coming in on and if there is static.

NX01 has you in the right direction. I would also program a trunk-id button on my phone. When you call yourself hit the trunk-id button to show the group and member the call is on.
