Hi All

I have a 1920 x 1400 screen resolution. But when I boot Win XP the windows startup screen is stretched and just looks stupid. Is there a way to resize the startup screen to its standard size?

Thanks

which startup screen? xp startup is 640x480 - ignores the later desktop settings - so have you been customising the startup screen?

I've seen some desktops with 19"+ monitors set at a high resolution because the monitor and video set up. When the customer brings in just the tower, the video on my screen (800x600) is all streched out on boot up. I just work around it, rather than try to explain to the client how to change it when they get home! In your case, boot up in safe mode (640x480) and reset resolution back to default (800x600). Reboot back to normal and start changing resolution back from there. As you change resolutions, you will have to change the screen picture size with the monitor adjustments.
