Startup Programs load 2 minutes after Laptop booted!

Hi

This is a strange one.

I have a Win XP Professional on my Laptop, with a wireless connection.

Everything has been working fine until a few days ago. I can't do a restore because for some reason I don't have any restore points this in January even though system restore settings is configured.

What happens is the laptop boots up without any problem and then sits silently for about 2 minutes and then starts loading my startup programs.

This is annoying as I wait for my net connection to come up.

Has anyone come up against this problem before?

Any assistance would be useful!

. disable using Device Manger any unused network adapers.
. pleae post an ipconfig /all after a reboot

In the main, your notebook is waiting for a DHCP server to respond. If one does not exist, you may experience a 2-5 minute wait.
