I am getting the following error on logon at the desktop
for this users machine. " "Cannot find file C:\Program (or oneof its components. Make sure path and filename are correct and all required libraries are available."

This only comes up under her profile. I have checked Startup
and Run in the registry but I'm missing this reference somehow. Any suggestions would be helpful. also I removed
some unnecessary programs So i.m sure its just trying to reference one of those.

Thnks for any input

*end users are just like computers, some you can work with...others just need a simple reBOOTing to fix their problems.*

Sobak, There are no single " marks in any of the entries under Run. This is just happening under one users profile.
I can startup just fine No Error. One thing I forgot to mention is when the error comes up I just click OK and go about with my business with no apparent ill effects. I really think this is a simple problem it's just I havn't encountered it before and I" betcha" some guys out there have.
. I think
NT just still is getting a command to load this up

Any further comments?

If it's just happening for one user you'll have to check the registry when they are logged in. Look under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run for any dud entries. You may have to give the user temporary rights to the registry first.

Actually this is caused by AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) Take a look at MS TID...

There are sometimes where I was unable to locate the issue within the Registry even with the person logged in so I would just delete their profile and have them start over. Of course before I did this I would make sure AIM didn't exist on the system. The profiles where I work are not important enough so deleting them was the fastest way to resolve the issue. If deleting the profile would cause you and your users problems, take a look at the TID and follow John's recommendation.

Hope this helps you out....

David is right that AIM can cause this problem, but I can assure you that many other programs can do the same!
