Hey all, got my hands on a Catalyst 2900 2916 switch with 11.2 IOS on it. Got it running and setup the config for an initial connection and all was looking good.. My problem is I am unable to copy the running-config to the startup-config, it doesn't have STARTUP-config as an option!

Does anyone know what could be the problem? As far as I can tell 0XF is normal Config register.

Thanks all!

if I'm not mistaken this is a old IOS image and on there you use: write memory or short: wr

upgrade the IOS if you have a change.

CCNA, CCNP..partly ;)

OMG I read about that too! I can't believe I didn't even think of that.

You were completely right MTandSAV! Thank you so much!

Any idea which IOS image starts using copy run start ?

Thanks again!

Probably anything above 12.0 should have the copy run start though I still use write mem , for me it's just a lot easier to remember .
