Lately I read an article in a magazine and on the Internet that describes how to install Windows 98 on CD-ROM in a way you can start Windows from CD-rom.
For those who want to read the article go to:
I encountered some problems in Chapter Separate Ways:
After I had copied the files including USER.DAT and SYSTEM.DAT in the folder that in a later stage would be put in the RAM-disk, Windows started however but in a shaky resolution 640x480 59 hz. That is not the way I want Windows 98 start from CD-rom...
No devices where left in devicemanager. And of course the cd-rom was inaccessible.
Does anybody know how to get the devices back in Device Manager?
Is there anybody who fixed it to put Windows 98 on CD-ROM?
