Hi all,

I have a excel spreadsheet which opens on the start up routine.

Is it possible to have this file open up(whether i have updated or not) before the closing down process completes. It's a reminder to check if i need to add more details to this one file.

I don't suppose it is possible but if you don't ask you don't get !!

Thanks in advance.

If you put it in a logoff script, it will open the file after log off/shutdown - allow you to process the file, then continue shutting down when you close it (at least it does on my machine).

So create a batch file (eg, in notepad, using all files, not Text Documents) in \WINNT\system32\GroupPolicy\User\Scripts\Logoff, called eg, excel.bat which just contains the full path to the file concerned (in quotes if there are spaces in the path), eg "C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\Agreement Qualifiers.xls".

Then in group policy (run gpedit.msc), go to User Config|Windows Settings|Scripts|Logoff. Click on add button & add the batch file you saved earlier.
