Start Menu Problem with Office 2k

We have recently started using NT4 SP6a on a couple of our Dell PC's as we needed to lock users down and an appliation we need to run isn't 2K or XP compatible.

We have now discovered a problem that if we install Office 2k on the NT4 pc's the Start menu locks just after Program/Accessories.

Has anyone else come accross this problem and found a fix for it?

If you uninstall the Start menus start working again.

Any Help appreciated.

What approach are you using when you install office (I.E, are you installing the program logged in as Administrator to the workgroup? What options are you choosing during the install? Are you choosing "run all programs from My Computer? What PCs are experienceing the problems? (I.E Client PCs?)

{b}(1)I would obviously first deinstall the Office program on the PCs in question and make sure you delete the office directory
(2) Log in as "Administrator" to the local domain (don't install while logged into the Network Domain)
(3) During the install, do a "Customized" install and then when you have the option make sure you select, "Run all programs from my computer"
(4) After the install login as a normal user to the "Network Domain" and see if you encounter the same problems.
